Hello all,
I have BCM 400 with 3.7 hard drive that crashed, and the only available hard drive to me at this time is 3.6. I do have a recent back up of the 3.7 hard drive. Can i install the 3.6 hard drive and restore the 3.7 back up?
The system has 1 PRI, and 20 VoIP sets. Thank you.

in short, no. You won't lose the telephony programming, as that is on the MSC card, but you can't restore a 3.7 backup to a 3.6 system, or vice versa. If you or your vendor have access to the 3.7 BIT tool image and BIT tool application, you could reimage the 3.6 drive to 3.7, then perform the restore.

Thanks for the replay. How about the voicemail, can i restore only the voice mail or i have to reprogram it. Thanks.

any thing other than voice needs to be reprogrammed back on to the hard drive.
you neen to reprogramme Voicemail,AA, CCR trees, contact centre,Rcc Reporting, lan cte, lan ip address.,ip phones etc.if you are using them all.

If you are lucky and the customer is only using basic mailboxes then just use "add Many Mailbox" feature
this wiil generate the voicemail boxs and use the name assigned to the extn number as the user name.
