Replacements for inp() and outp() commands

Hi,

I'm trying to compile c++ code with MS VC++ (and Borland) compiler. However, every time I get a notification :" 'outp' has no prototype. What options do I have? Can I replace the inp and outp command with some other ones? Is there possible a library, that I have to add?

have you ever tried to include conio.h and use _inp() and _outp() instead?
