I had a PRI card die and sent for a replacement and had it installed and everything seems to work ok now i'm getting calls that 800 numbers sometimes dont go thru my tech on site worked with AT&T and they monitored the @ PRI circuits and saw 8 digits coming from 1 PRI and 11 from the other the one working displays SPEECH to AT&T the one failing shows 3.1 Audio rolled the circuits and the trouble went to the other PRI so it's someting in the MC270AA card
as always thanks in advance for your help

Your problem is in the card configuration (accessed via the IMAT utility). What many people do not realize is that PRI cards are most often not directly interchangeable unless the replacement has the exact same configuration (database) and, ideally the same firmware.

My own experience in upgrading the firmware on the MC270 card is to never do it unless there's a very compelling reason to do it, such as to maintain compatibility with the software level on the pbx.

Finally, don't confuse upgrading the firmware with making sure you have the same database (or same config) on the card.

Thank you I thought they were plug and play I looked in the e-docs but must have over looked this
Thanks Again

Well, they certainly can be plug-n-play but in such case you would need to have a site-specific spare (or spares) pre-configured with the identical IMAT database of the card it is intended to replace. IMAT is pretty easy to use tho so it might be just as easy to keep a library of the various IMAT databases for all the sites you support and then blow-in whichever one you need if/when it ever comes time to replace one.
