have a 2.2 magix with 2.5 messaging that crapped out. replaced with a 3.0 messaging but now every night it is dead. im asssuming when it resets at 2AM. i also get a not in normal op mode and now the displays no longer show new and old messages. anyone ever see? all programming is good.

Was this replacement messaging new or used? Did you reset it to factory specs (reinitialize and wipe out old programming) before programming it? Some people suggest doing that twice - before programming it.

Does this replacement have more ports enabled? If so - did you rotary enable any additional ports?

You may very well have a "defective" replacement module.

same flash card so the ports are the same. it was initailized and the programming was put in manually. customer had never done a backup. im going to a magix 4.0 tonight to see if that does it.

If you are going to a Magix Messaging 4.0 module, you need to flash upgrade the Magix processor to R4.0 - to fully utilize all of the additional features (Record-a-Call).
