We have a simple setup on one server where we had a software mirror.
When we recieved a message that the mirror disk had failed, we replaced the hard drive and restarted.
The original disk is now set as Disk 1 in the Disk Manager, and the new mirror disk is set as Disk 0. This is despite the original disk being in the primary IDE channel (where it has been since before the failure).
We configure the new drive as a dynamic disk, and start the mirror process. However, as soon as it has mirrored the first partition it seems to simply reset back to a seperate drive.
I've trawled all over the internet looking for this, but cannot find where anyone else has had this problem - any suggestions would be welcome.
