Replace ring generator in MCC cabinet

Does anyone remember whether or not you have to shut down the cabinet to replace the ring generator?

that is an "old timer" question, but the common sense answer is, if you need to handle the 90VAC ringing output voltage, and/or manually wire it, then yes, it would be a good idea. If it's all "modular" then maybe not. MCC cabinets where before my time, so can't get you a definitive answer.

I have done it with no down time as it has a quick disconnect connector.
