replace data

how do I replace data from 1 cell from one to another
example:
col1 col2
1 a
2 b
3 c
I like to replace in col1 cell2 with data from col2 cell2 so in col1 look like this
col1 col2
1 a
2 b
3 c

Hi,

Quickest way is to create a 3rd column

=IF(ISBLANK(A1),B1,A1)

then copy the 3rd column and paste special/values into column 1

You could also just select all the cells concerned, do Edit / Go To / Special / Blank Cells - Then do Edit delete / Shift cells left.
