RepeatSection problem

I am creating a report listing students grouped by their degrees. It needs the RepeatSection option to be switched on for one of the sections so that the 'Degree' header repeats when the group (students on that degree) spans across pages.

This is working correctly when it is needed, but the header also sometimes repeats when the group was completed on the previous page. The next page then shows the old degree header, with no detail, followed by the next degree header. (It seems to happen when the last record in the group appears right at the very bottom of a page).

The detail section consists only of a single text box (containing the Student's name), with no extra white space, and the section's KeepTogether property is on. I can't see any way that the detail is going on to the next page, but I can't stop these headers repeating. Help!!

Try making the footer of the page a little smaller so that there is a hair more room for the detail section to grow. Access pads a little tiny bit on the bottom after placing a control which would be why it's showing up only when you have things going to the bottom of the page. I would try taking two grid points away from the footer at first.

I am so dumb!

There is a group below the Degree header but before the detail (for the degree classification) for which I had added an empty group footer, specifically for adding a gap between the end of one group and the next degree header! I don't know how I missed it, but I was looking into your solution when I found it, so it was a help anyway, thanks!

I have removed the footer now, and just need to work out a way to add this gap without bringing back the problem or throwing the layout off.
