Repeating quote - Customer ship to address problem

Every customer we have has a Repeating quote. My order entry folks just saw that if they update a 'ship to' address for a customer (cards -> Sales -> Customer) that the quote address corresponding to the customer ship to does not update (in the quote you have to press the little expand arrow next to the cutomer to see the problem)

any way to force GP 9 (sql 2005) to propigate the address changes down to the corresponding active quotes & orders? I realize that once they have posted that we do not want the address updated, but the quotes & 'active' orders should get updated I would think... I can do it in SQL, but this is really interesting news to us...

when the quote/order/invoice/return is created it goes to the customer card to find out what the ship to address (and bill to address for that matter) is at the time and copies it into the header. By changing the default ship to, you will not change this default info.

I suppose you could write a script to run nightly to change all header information with the most current on open quotes/orders etc. but by default it will not change unless you go into the quote, reselect the ship to address and save the document.

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!

I figure that was the answer... of course our answer will be - Hey Jymm - write a trigger that updates the quote and any pending orders... ah well
