Is It Possible to have a repeating field perform a calculation for each repetition using fields from other repeating fields?

I have three repeating fields lets say a b and c each with 9 repetitions. Field a and b contain 9 unique numbers. I want to be able to add row 1 from a and b using a calculation in row 1 from field c. This would continue for each row in all 3 fields.

I am trying this only to decrease the number of fields in my current file.

Thanks Jim

It is, but....

The moment you need more than just storing data in fields and those fields are accessible to users, don't use repeating fields.

Redesign your application and use related fields instead.
Sooner or later you will hit a wall with repeaters.

Using repeating fields to decrease the number of fields in your files is not a good approach.

You don't have search capabilities without workaround, no reportfunctions and you will need those sooner or later.
Sorting, same thing, summary, same thing.

Bottom line, change your repeaters to related fields....

Thank you. I know the problems with repeating fields. I use them for lookups. Actually golf course information. Each repeating field has 9 reps representing 9 holes. This is 8 fields instead of 72. I just thought I could "cheat" a little more.

Thanks Jim
