Dear Cognos Cracks,
When including a IQD file (based on a report on an access 2000 database) as source in the transformer I allways have to specify the database position in the filesystem.
This happens when using one of the following functions in COGNOS transformer: (Data source Viewer, generate catagories, create Power cube). Unfortunatly this pop up window occurs multiple times (I have some hierarchies in the cube) when I generate manually the Power Cube or via calling trnsfrmr.exe in a batch file.
My first idea was, that it is based on the ODBC connection, but other tools like Excel or BO do not have this problem. I also had this problem in the past with a ORACLE ODBC connection. It seems, that the transformer is opening the connection every time he is building the catagories.
Do you know any option to avoid the transformer cube generating process to ask for the database path every time?
My Version Info: PP transformer 7.1 on windows system, Access 2000, Access ODBC driver 4.00.62x
best regards,
AmAC72
