I have a fairly complex group header with 3 subreports linked to the group header. I also have a graph in the group footer. There are no detail records, only the records associated with the linked subreports. What I would like to do is when the data from the subforms or the group footer graph forces page 2 or page 3, I would like to repeat just 1 field in the group header.

Is this possible? This is a legacy report and I've tried moving everything but the 1 field into the detail section to simplify the "repeat section" property, but it adversely affects formatting to other portions of the report.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanx in advance

Have you considered repeating the same group header multiple times and setting some to repeat and others not?

Wow!..........of course that makes total sense. I'll try it but that should work fine.

Thank you!

That seems like the simplest and easy fix, I was like of course that should work. My problem now is I'm taking a HUGE performance hit --- a report that took about 20 seconds to run is still attempting to run 15 minutes later.

Any thoughts?

Do you have sections that can grow and various keep together properties and page numbering?

Yes I have sections that can grow and keep together properties. I don't believe I need the keep together property. I also have page numbering at the top. And in the page header I have some code to remove column labels for certain pages. It was the only way I could remove the column labels when there was only a graph instead of a subform from the group header section going over to page 2/3

I would "play" with some of these properties to see if performance improves.

Thanx,

I have found a half-way decent work around, putting the group header field in the page header gaurantees repeating. A bit of a bump up, but looks ok.
