I have a user that is currently using an analog telephone but would like to replace it with a digital set. I'm assuming that I have to tone out the line and punch it down on the block corresponding to one of the digital cards. After that I'm at a loss. I do have experience doing this with a Definity system but this one is a little harder to figure out.

Thanks for your help!

Do you have any experience at all with the command line programming on a Nortel PBX. If not this is going to be very painful.

I have used the command line for some things like changing names in the directory, disabling and enabling sets, and allowing some users to make long distance calls. That is about the extent of it.

Sounds like it's time to learn how to build phones, find TN's by DN, manage DN's, etc. Remember, LD 20 is your friend!
