Hey folks; I need some help here. I need to order some spare parts for to keep on hand just in case one of my 50's go belly up one day. Question.

Do I need a new keycode and/or license if I have to replace a module or a cabinet if one of my systems was to go belly up on me.

My systems are usually configured:

(2) Cabinets (Main and Expansion)
(1) GATM 4x16 in Expansion
(4) Analog Trunks (POTS) on Main
(20) Phones between Expanions and Main (4 seats on Main)

- Thanks

So if I have to replace the main cabinet, do I have to request a new keycode or can I reuse the old one?

You can have the codes transferred but I think you have to return the defective system back to Nortel. Otherwise you will be charged for the new codes.

I wonder if they would even take it if it's out of warranty.

Yes they'll take it. If out of warranty, you'd buy a new cabinet, but need to move the keycodes. hawks, is correct. You regenerate through KRS and need to send old cabinet in within 30 days or you get charged for the keycodes.
