I have a spread sheet file from Quattro Pro that will not load into QPro 10. It has a qpw extension, not sure of the format. When opened, it crashes QPro 10. The file is approximately the right size, and some or all of the ASCII text strings (cell contents) are in the file when examined with a simple text editor. Any tips on what to do? Is there anyone out there who knows the format of these files? Any consultants who recover this type of file?

To continue with a bit more information:

The corrupted file in question was written in Quattro Pro 9/10 format. One thing that I have discovered in trying to fix this file is that this problem is fairly common! Many universities, and a spreadsheet consultant that I talked to, recommend saving from Quattro Pro in an earlier format. DO NOT USE QPW v9/v10 FORMAT! You risk losing your data. Corel has apparently been unresponsive on this issue, at least according to the spreadsheet consultant that I talked to.
