repair nortel display modules????

Does anyone know where i can buy just the gut of the module(without the plastic case) or does anyone know of a vendor who repairs them???

You can try any 2nd party reseller. We used to buy the displays, but it was always to cumbersome to install. With the 3900 series phones on the market, the 2000 series have dropped in price and you should be able to pick up a complete phone at a reasonable price.

If you are talking about the older 25xx series displays from the nineties then you can go to sharp or optrex...

Look at the chips on the back of the PCB that the LCD is mounted to and type them into google you should get a Hitachi or Sharp link and then you can go from there.

Any electronic parts depot will carry these items, as well if your area has a telephone repair shop they should carry the common LCD modules, they are in all sorts of different phones and NORTEL used the standard modules in all there phones even the consumer ones... Hobbie electronic stores on the web are a good source as well.
