First off, we are running UDB 7.2 on an AIX server....
I understand that we can run reorg indexes in version 8, but the application people and licensing issues first need to be addressed..
My ? is, to reorg an index, we run a db2look, drop the index and from the output we recreate it....
This causes problems with clustered and primary indexes...
Does reorging the associated table help clean these indexes even though they are not recreated?
I have been told just to reorg the tables, but I did not think that had any effect on the indexes.... But I have been wrong in other assumptions...
Thanks in advance....
Koz
