Have a customer who wante dus to change BARS from 9 to 8 (911 misdials - they're running ver 4.5 and didn't want to do any of the suggested tips here). Easy enough - changes made, I get paid the same either way.

As I'm packing up to leave, customer says their speed dials aren't working. They have a FFC of ## for SSPU. However, none of the FFC's or SPRE's now work. I get a reorder when I try any SPREE or FFC.

Not getting much luck from Avaya's KB, smarter co-workers or the Google.

No huge rush - they have a ton of speed dial entries to change from 9xxxyyyzzz to 8xxxyyyzzz that I'm not looking forward to doing. Fun times.

I haven't INI'ed the switch to see if that'll fix it. Middle of the day ya know.

Any ideas? Here's some print outs. Thanks!

Has DN 1 TYPE SFP always been "1"?. I usually make sure SPRE is set with a minimum of 2 digits. I don't think I've ever seen just "1" set before. I've even made it a four digit number to free up DN's.

All the best

Firebird Scrambler
Meridian 1 / Succession and BCM / Norstar Programmer in the UK

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Firebird... it's how the system was set up before I came on board. A SPRE of 1 is fairly common in most systems I maintain.

Gene... I explained to the customer that if he waited another month or two when they upgrade to 7.5 the problem will go away with a little bit of programming... even suggested your tip too as an interim measure. Nope - their mind is made up... change BARS to 8. OK. So it's a done deal.
