Hello,
Is there an easy way to renumbering all extensions including voicemail, without losing any programming? Our customers wants to go from 3 digits to 4 digits. If I renumber an extension manually I lose the voicemailbox, incl recordings.

I have MCD4.1sp1 in an SDS-cluster, so without OPSmanager.

quickest way is to export the forms associated with extensions and vm, make the changes and import them back in.

In actual fact the mailbox is not actually lost but would be better described as unallocated.

Regardless, the users should be prepared to have to reset their mailboxes.

You should change the mailbox length first via the admin mailbox. This will modify all mailboxes and pad a zero on the end. If you then renumber the extension to match, all messages and greetings will still exist but the greetings will have to be rerecorded regardless due to the tutorial being on.

Undoubtedly, this numbering scheme is not what you intend so it is best to prepare the customer as if everything is lost and recreated.

I have tried exports and imports, but that didnt work as expected, so I have renumbered everything manually, 6 hours typing for 250 extension :-(
And I used ftp to get the mailbox greetings from the mitel /vmail/d Renumbered the files to match the new extensions, and that works fine.

Yes, I hesitated to suggest the ftp method due to the time and skill required. Glad you got it sorted.
