When I try to swap extensions using sysrenumber, and after I put in the first extension, I don't get the expected "Enter new extension". I just keep getting "Enter old extension".

that number doesn't exist as an extension in the pbx, that is why it won't let you renumber it. Is it a ghost extension? if so, you need to renumber an "adjunct" not an extension. If it is a physical extension, go to the telephone in question and press Feature and then 00 on the keypad and it will tell you in the display what extension it truly is. hope that helps.

sounds like you are not entering the actual extension number of the phone you are wanting to change. try calling a display phone and see what ext, it displays. or, if this phone is a display, hit the MENU button and then the button under PROG and it will tell you the actual ext. of that phone.

thanks, tim

What does it mean "Profile: Unequipped" when I go into the Maintenance>Port>Status.

There is no phone plugged into that port. If you plugged a phone in, it what say "Profile: MLX 10D" or whatever type of telephone you plug into it.

I you have a laptop, go into print and print out ext. directory and see what numbers you have. If it was programmed for setup space your set. You can tell if you see extensions starting with 71LL.
