Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I have a Merlin phone system, and a DID line xxx-xxx-6154, that routes directly to adjunct #154. This works great. However, I'm trying to set up a calling group for this adjunct, so that different people can answer it, as it's going to be a "helpline" type of number.

I set up a calling group, 7989 with the settings I want, then tried to renumber calling group 7989 to 154 so that the calling group picks right up from the outside. But the system won't let me renumber a calling group to the 154.

Is it because it's an adjunct? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Why not just set up Primary Cover buttons for the adjunct extention on several phones. You can setup up to 8 such buttons. You cannot renumber a group to an existing extention/adjunct number.

Sorry, thanks. I actually renumbered the adjunct to something else, then renumbered the calling group to 154 and so far it seems to be working.

Thanks again!
