I am new to after effects 6.5 pro, and I have created a effect on a clip, but how do I render the clip. Which button do I have to press if I want to render a clip????
And can I render only one clip, or do I have to render the whole compossision?

You can render one clip, one second, one frame if you like.

In order to render (you want to render your COMPOSITION), use the file pulldown menu from Composition -> Make Movie.

This function will provide you with the most options for getting a movie out.

You can also use File -> Export, which works in a similar manner, but provides you with fewer options, and does not remember the settings of your last movie created (in the event you want to duplicate those 'render preferences').

While in the timeline, CMD-M (mac)

The default is usally set to QuickTime Movie, so all you'll have to do is click the RENDER button.

Good Luck
