Rendering Glitch

Last week, while using Adobe Premiere 6.5, a glitch developed. After rendering any titles or transitions in the timeline, the first frame of the rendered clip contains some digital artifacts (random color blocks). It started happening for no apparent reason. During playback of the timeline, these appear as flashes at the beginning of every rendered effect. We've uninstalled and re-installed Premiere with no effect. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks,
Joe

Reinstalling often does not change Preferences.

It might be worth trying a new Preferences file by starting Premiere with CTRL+SHIFT until the splash screen appears, then reinstate your scratch disks etc before trying again to render.

Thanks for the info, but we seem to have solved the problem. It turns out there was some sort of conflict between Quicktime 7.0 and Premiere 6.5. We deleted Quicktime, then re-installed an earlier version of it, and the problem disappeared. Weird.

Thanks for the feedback. Too many configs out there to know them all !
