I am running a 2 Node Windows 2003 cluster. We have been told by the higher ups that we need to rename our virtual server to meet the standard convention. Would it be as easy as changing the name and making the changes in cluster manager? We currently only have DHCP and WINS running on these servers. The IP address will not change.

If you are not using anything fancy like SQL or Exchange then to change the virtual server all you should need to do is change the the Cluster Name resource within the cluster group to the new name.

I would imagine that changing the physical servers names is much harder.
