Renaming the machine (hostname)

Hey all, this problem has me stumped for days. I had to rename my machine to get onto our internal network. In doing so, several things broke in Oracle.

I have managed to get most everything working like it was before, except EM. I need to access the admin section to create tablespaces and users on my machine.

My problem is EM create keeps using my old hostname instead of the new one.

I followed this tutorial:

At step 7, where you rebuild the EM console, there are a series of prompts asking you about the SID and password and then it confirms the settings. Here it keeps picking up my old hostname. Why is that? Why can't I tell the EM console to use my new hostname? Where is this hardcoded so I can change it?

FWIW, I'm on 10.2.0 on a Windows machine.

thanks!

Any resolution on this?

I have no experience with this specific problem; so with a grain of salt.

Look here:
ORACLE_HOME/sysman/config/omsconfig.properties

And possibly re-run step 2.

And note that in windows only an extra service gets started that you might want to look over. "Management Server Windows Service".

There is also a Oracle Enterprise Manager Configuration Guide out there if you run out of ideas.

Good luck!
