Hi,

I have several .psd files, each with 40+ layers. Each layer is a frame to an animation, I need to rename each layer like:

Boss_01
Boss_02
Bozz_03

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks,
Dan

File menu/Scripts/Export layers to files.

Will make each layer dofferent file with "copy 1", "copy 2, etc

Thanks Jmgalvin,

The only thing is that I need to just rename the layers in the one file, I don't want to export them into several separate files.

Ideally, it would be nice if one could right click on a layer to rename it and in the window it would have an option where it would ask "apply new name to all layers in numerical order?

I don't know of a fast way to do this but "if several" means two or three you may just have to bite the bullet and rename each layer. Fourty x "several" can't take more than two or three beers!

Seriously, I wish I could provide a quick solution.
