Dear,
It is not recommened to rename tha netbios name of an existing exchange Server.
The container server of your site takes automatically the name of your server.
So when you change this name, troubles are noted.
With Windows 2000 and its tools, I tink it will be possiblr to change a name of an Exchange Server and .. use ADSI to rename all relative AD objects.

I renamed one once, and since this day it has broken links in its database. And I can't revert to the first name because it has made new links, and that would break them.
So I don't recommend renaming your Exchange server.
