Hi,
I wonder if anyone can point us to the best practice regarding the following situations. We sometimes need to change the name of our PCs to follow our naming convention when they are moved to a new location or reassigned to a new user. What steps should we take if they already have an SMS 2003 Advanced Client installed on them, so that we don't get duplicate clients registered with different names?
BTW, we have an AD discovery happening every night & no Network discovery.
Also, what should we do if we have to re-image a PC that previously had an SMS Advanced Client installed & assigned on it?
