Let me start by apologizing, my linux and novell experience is next to none so I'll have to use windows terms and pray someone will know what I'm talking about. I've tried calling novell's support but they all just acted like they didn't have a clue what I was talking about. So here's how it is. I have a headquaters office and several branch offices. The servers at the branch office need to be able to replicate with the servers at the head office. How can I make this happen with novell?

Also how do I change the domain name of a domain running off of netware 6.5? Currently all offices share the same domain name. The previous guy they had in here thought that if he named them all the same thing they would just automatically pick each other up and work. Don't ask me that was before my time. So now I need to change the domain names of these sites and create a domain trust, I'm just not sure how to do this with novell? Please help.

Fist thing I would suggest would be to find a Novell consulting partner to help you. What you want to do is fairly simple, but involved.

So it sounds like the "Tree" (domain) at all offices is the same name, but each are actually individual trees. To merge everything, you will first want to rename the tree so they are all different. I would also suggest making sure the Organization object is different (makes the merge easier). You then will do a tree merge to bring it all together.

Now, during that you will want to sync schema between trees (has to match for a merge to work). You will also want to ensure your SLP and DNS are rock solid (SLP at most current version and properly configured and DNS needs short, long, forward, reverse lookups to work).
