Renamed attachments (Outlook 2000)

My office has a system where Access databases are sent via email as an attachment, these are saved to a folder on the recipients PC and then imported to a master database.

The problem is that Outlook tries to rename the attachment with a numeric on the end (eg dbUpdate.mdb becomes dpUpdate1.mdb). It only happens on one PC and only to one attachment name.

I guess it must be a setting it Outlook somewhere, does anyone have any idea where it would be?

Having a similar problem:
Just with one user as today; user attachs a file to a new email, when she try to open the attachment (before sending the email) the attachment will open with a number at the end, you keep opening the attachment it will increment the number...
Any idea?
