Rename XP/2000 local computer

Hi,

it seems simple but I can't figure out how to do this. I want to change the local computer name (not in domain). How do I do this?

If your running Win2000, and I suspect NT, click on START|HELP and type in: "computer names" and then select "changing" and that will tell you how.

However, if your need is to do it by script see:
