Hi experts

How can I rename a user whiile keeping the same ID bearing in mid that I have a HUB and mial server

Thanks

Hi

- Go into administrator, people and groups view.
- Select person
- click on rename in the right hand tool bar under people.
- set the new values.

next time the user authenticates with their home server, it will prompt to accept changes to ID.

Note that this will only change the notes mail address not the internet address. change this manually in the domain address book, and if you want them to receive mail to their old address add this into the username section of their person document.

once changes replicate round to all servers (particularly the mail server) the new address should be in effect.

the notes.net forum would have loads of stuff on this.

The only issue with doing that is sometimes it has issues making the name changes to calendar entries and ACL entries. Check out close to the same post on the Lotus Notes forum for alternate possibilities.
