I have 4 table that hold counts of various data.
The field holding the count is CountOfRef_Number.

I have created another query to combine all of the totals into one table so I can output a report, but all of the column headings show as CountOfRef_Number. In the query Design View I want to rename these fields to something more meaningful.

How do I do this?

Cheers

Jemmo

More meaningful name: CountOfRef_Number

Hope This Helps, PH.

[tt]Myfield: CountOfRef_Number[/tt]

is how to create an alias in design view (looks like

[tt]Select CountOfRef_Number as Myfield, ... [/tt]

in SQL view

Thanks for that..........but I'm not quite sure what you are saying.

I'm sure there is a simple syntax solution but I have been searching various forums and tutorials for a few hours now and got nowhere. I'm sure it's a case of a colon/parentheses/quotes or a combination of these (or something similar) that will do the trick, but I'm not really an Access person and so haven't managed to solve it.

Thanks Roy. The SQL view worked a treat.
