how i can rename a culomn in sql ..i want to give the field different name ..?

There is no such function in ANSI SQL.

It is supported by some DBMS so you are better of posting this in a forum dedicated to the DBMS that you are using.

While you can't rename the column in the database, you can rename the field in the report or a new file by using a SELECT field1 AS newfieldname.
