While setting up my tables I am instructed to remove the Default Value from the foreign keys in the Field properties.
Does anyone know how to do this. I am going crazy!!

Hi,

You have Table 1 with a Primary Key autonumber perhaps (PK).

You have Table 2 with a Primary Key autonumber perhaps (PK).
Table 2 also has a Foreign Key link to TABLE1, this field will hold the PK value from Table 1 WHEN a new Table2 record is created.

This links Table2 to Table1 (1 to many relationship).

In this case, Table2 FK field will be filled automatically (and so it should be) by Access.

You have put a value in the FK (or whatever name) field default value property.

Get rid of it.

Regards,

Darrylle
