Hi,

I have this spreadsheet with a lot of text in a column. The column is set up as follows.

Text 08:43:00

I want to be able to get rid of the time. I could do this with text to columns, but some rows within the same column have 3 or 4 items. Ex:

Text 08:43:00
Text 08:43:00
Text 08:43:00
Text 08:43:00

How do I get rid of the time stamp after the text. There is about 10 spaces between the text and time stamp.

Thanks,

Chris

Do a Find and Replace using the ? (single character wildcard) in the following format:

??:??:??

and replace it with nothing. This will remove the timestamps from the cells.

Following that you can use the TRIM() function to remove excess spaces if necessary.

Cheers,
Dave
