Hi - I'm running Call Manager 9.1 and Unity 10.
We're a bank with a number of branches. Nearly 10 of them use the same DID block, but we use translation patterns so each location has their own internal dial-prefix just for them. IE - For DID 4592, translation pattern 002.4592 exists. When someone dials 0024592, the "002." (pre-dot) is discarded and the call routes to that phone.
I've noticed that the voice-mail boxes and call handlers also have the same 002 prefix. Since we are consolidating a few branches into one location, a few prefixes can go. Is it just that simple to remove the prefix from the DN, voice-mail extension and Directory/Call Handler and everything will be OK? Or will the DN, voicemail and handlers need to be deleted/added back and the end-user to re-create their voice-mail messages? If I can do this, is their a particular order to do them?
Trying very hard not to hork myself....
