I previously had 3 robots in production but removed one of the robots which is labelled PCR(1).

I also have robots 0 and 2. Will it hurt anything if I remove robot 1 or is it going to cause Robot 2 to be re-numbered?

Hi
if your netbackup version 6.0
u must delete robots and later rediscover devices, when finish discover you can change all devices names what you want
if 5.x
click devices , robots ,select changing needing robot and rigth click > change > name

Removing a robot will not hurt anything, so long as it is done properly.

Delete all your drives from your servers that connect to this robot, then delete the robot definition. This will not effect your other robot definitions or configuration. You'll need to bounce ltid on all servers that had this robot and/or drives configured.

and don't forget to move the volumes out of the library first.

Thanks! I was able to delete the robot without any issues. The robot has been out of commission for quite a while so there were no volumes assigned. Thanks for you help.
