In Frontpage 2000 wysiwig mode, I cannot get rid of some space after a text box inserted in a table cell. When I try to make the cell just as wide as the text box inside, it won't work, it seems to require a minimum space at the right margin proportional to the size of the text box. I am trying to fit each criteria text box just at the top of each associated collum of the table retrieving data from a database.

It is more than likley the HIDDEN fields of the form. Move the HIDDEN fields out of the table cell and see if that helps.
