Hi All,

I am currently having issues with a remote directory number I cannot get rid of.

I have removed the user from it's original network element using MiCollab and have gone to create it again on a new one with the same number but it says the number is a remote directory number.
When I go to remove it from the remote directory number form, I get the error "the user info does not exist or is incomplete.

I have also checked the telephone directory on all of the elements and the number isn't there. It also isn't there in the Users and services config form.

I have tried creating a dummy number on the original element and tried deleting again from remote directory numbers but even that won't work.

I have also run a GDM Check and Repair with no luck.

User is currently offline until I fix her number. any help appreciated.

Orginal network element - rel 7.2
New element - 8.0 SP2

Thanks,
JCCDM

Go to Maintenance Commands on each controller and enter "Locate number xxxx" (xxxx= the number you are having trouble with). Proper response would be "Number not in use" on each controller. Any other response will show what the number is in use as.

I have run this command on all controllers in the cluster and they all come back with number not in use except for the one controller that says it is a remote directory number.

Any ideas on how I might be able to remove it?

Thanks,
JCCDM

run gdm repair
this may reassign the extension
then locate and delete it from the MIVB
Note Sometimes bits are left as multilien IP devices

RECONCILE CLUSTER AND RDN command can also help

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

You can delete directly on the RDN form

Thanks for the advice, I also tried running the dn ref delete on instruction from Mitel with no luck.

Turned out when I ran DBMS check there were database errors.

A backup and restore has fixed the issue as I was able to remove the DNs that I needed to.

Thanks,
