I am looking for help when creating a form in access.

I would like the form to pop up when the current database is accessed and then display 3 control buttons that will have macro's attached to them. 2 buttons will be for opening report pages in the database and the third to be used to import a text file as a new table.

How do I create the form so that the record indicator does not show?

Further, is there a quick macro to attach to a control button that prompts the user to select a text file for importing as a new table?

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I figured out that I would have to turn off the Navigation Buttons.

However, any help with the import file macro would be great.

To turn off record indicators, go into the form's properties and in the format tab, set navigation buttons to NO and record selectors to NO.

As for the listing of files, check out this forum and thread:

There is TONS of useful information here.

Good Luck!
