When you reply in Outlook to an e-mail with an attachment, it only sends the file name. I want to be able to remove attachments from e-mails, and leave the file name.
Is there a way to do this without having to type in the file name?
If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to keep the file name in your e-mail folders but not keep the actual attachment? If that's the case, the easiest way I can think of is to reply to the piece of mail with the attachment, but make yourself the recipient. Once you receive the e-mail, the attachment should be gone, the file name should be there, and you can delete the original piece of mail that actually has the attachment.
