Once I've upgraded to a new kernel, compiled it, installed it... whatnot... and am happy with the performance. What're the steps to remove the old ones?

I know how to get them off my boot loader menu, but what about actually cleaning them off?

I'm using Debian, Woody, but planning to upgrade to Sarge when I have a few minutes. I'm assuming I can just do my apt-get remove for the kernel source package I added...

Follow up, how much space am I cleaning up if I do this?

Thanks,
Rob
