removing obituaries

Server was taken out of tree/context incorrectly. Trying to merge the context that the server was in but getting error "Previous move on progress..". We have DS Expert which shows where the obituaries are but because we do not have the server anymore we cannot bring it back up to finish doing what it was doing. How do you remove this obstacle? Thank you . Oh yeah...Netware 5 with SP6a.

Try getting the following TIDs from the support site at Novell. Go into the Knowledgebase and search for the following:
TID 10022791
TID 10056593
TID 10012763
TID 10019642

Also retrieve the following APPNOTES in maintaining a healthy NDS
APPNOTES AUG 1997
APPNOTES OCT 1997

I've had similar a couple of times. One I had a novell dial-in, this was a forty server site, another I had just 6 and amanged to clear them down using the tids from support.novell.com. I suggest if you are not a serious NDS techie and used to dealing with NDS problems, you contact a novell partner or open an incident with Novell. Lee Smith
