Removing MySQL from OSX

I installed MySQL 3.23.49 on my OSX Mac a while back but have updated apache and php recently. I had never previously used MySQL on the Mac and now am having trouble.

I would like to remove all MySQL components so that I can perform a clean install. Can someone clue me into how to do this?
