I have uninstalled McAfee 7.0 because I was having too many problems connecting to the internet. Three McAfee Firewall Netork Miniports are still listed in the device manager under network adapter with the yellow exclamation mark. I have tried everything I can think of and am unable to unistall these adapters. The message always says Failed to unistall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer. How do I get rid of these?????

As always, backup your registry before attempting this.

The only suggestion that I can give is to use regedit and seach through the registry deleting every reference that you can. There will probably be 1 entry for each firewall miniport that you won't be able to delete.

Then exit regedit, but don't reboot yet. If you have removed all the correct registry entries, you will now be able to uninstall them from Device Manager. If you reboot before uninstalling from DM, you will have to delete the registry entries again. It will be very tedious, but when you get the right combination, it will work.
