Removing macros from workbook

I have a workbook that I need to remove a "macro" from. How do I do this? I iniadvertently added the macro and subsequently removed it .. or so I thought. Apparently it did not get removed and now I have to respond with Enable or disable macros every time. I've tried deleting the Macro by Tools-Macros-Macros but I do not see any macros on the list. help.
