Removing macros from workbook

I have a workbook that I need to remove a "macro" from. How do I do this? I iniadvertently added the macro and subsequently removed it .. or so I thought. Apparently it did not get removed and now I have to respond with Enable or disable macros. Please help me remove all references to this gost macro.

I think your mixing up Application Support with Application Deployment. This forum is more for distributing software remotely... BUT, in order to answer your question anyhow,

In your Excel worksheet, go to Tools, Macros, Macros... (or ALT-F8 and remove all visible macros in the list. After, to the same, Tools, Macros, Security, and move the level to High or Low... I forget which on it is, but it will stop prompting you for the Enable Macros.. just run a test on each setting til the pop-up message at the start goes away.

Thanks for the input. I did indeed mistake this forum for the one you describe. I did try what you suggested but I was unsuccessful in doing so. Whenever I open the spreadsheet in question and got to Tools - Macros - Macros nothing appears. There are no macros in this file - at least none that I can see but I still get the message whenever I open the file. Any suggestions?

Do the part with the security also.. set it to HIGH and see, if it stil prompts you, set it to LOW. Other than that, you can try a COPY / PASTE into a new workbook and hope for the best....

I've had the same problem.. and when I copy and paste into a new workbook the problem persists.. I guess I'm going to just rebuild my sheet since it's really just a basic calculator.
