I'm running a dual boot Linux/Windows computer which I accidentaly formatted incorrectly. I need to give over more space to Windows from Linux by redoing the partitions, then reinstalling Linux. When I try using fdisk to remove the extended partition, it says logical drives exist that need to be removed first. But when I go to remove the logical drives, none are detected. Can I work around this with fdisk, or do I need some other partitioning tool. And if that's the case, where can I get it (preferable free for d/l)?

Thanks,
Nick

I user for thios boot disk for os/2, theirs fdisk works fine. Or boot a linux cd or so, and there redo the partitions and reboot. I think, dos(windos) fdisk would not do that.

also,

if you set up LILO to boot of your mbr, you will need to run (from a dos disk) fdisk /mbr to restore the master boot record...

Alright, I'll try to get ahold of a Linux CD again and try that.

Already removed Lilo, which doesn't help the situation. Thanks though, good to know
