removing ksu 6x16 rom to screw to wall ok y or n

I need to move a nortel 6x16 ksu, one of the screws is behind the software rom. Can I power down the system, remove the rom to remove the screw, screw it to its new spot, put the rom back in and power it up without it losing its programming?

You should be able to do that as long as the internal battery in the KSU is good. Just power down unit, unplug software rom, remove screw, and reinstall in new location.

DO NOT REMOVE SOFTWARE WHEN POWER IS ON!!

Should be ok to do it. There is always a chance of losing the programming.
